Steve Wolansky sets personal milestone in 2014

Steve Wolansky is a highly motivated player that doesn’t hesitate to travel from one city to the other, to attend live poker tournaments. He made a name for himself by participating in the World Series of poker and make a final table in this celebrated competition. Even though he didn’t and up winning the event, he came extremely close and this is something that very few poker pros can brag about.Steve Wolansky sets personal milestone in 2014

888Poker expressed their interest in signing him up and they did at the end of 2014, as the poker room tries to build up a competitive team of professionals. Steve is just one of those who were acquired over the last couple of months and new players will probably tag along in 2015. Meanwhile, Wolansky gets busy with local tournaments in the United States while participating in online competitions whenever he finds himself outside the borders.

He also won a bracelet last year at the World Series of poker in a side event, with that being the best performance so far. In Cooper City he played mostly against Americans but he was not intimidated by the steep competition and eventually defeating all 1000 of them. Making the final table at the prestigious 2014 Borgata Fall Poker Open $1 Million Guaranteed Championship meant that will win in excess of $300,000, which is not an amount to frown upon.

He had to fight an uphill battle at the final table, but much to his credit, he made the most of his stack and overcame two highly competitive opponents. Larry Alberts was eliminated in the third-place while Taylor von Kriegenbergh followed him to the rail in second, leaving Steve to win the trophy.
