Shoe

The box from which the cards are dealt.

 

Soft Hand

In Blackjack, a hand in which an ace is counted as 11 is called soft hand because it can't be busted if the player draws another card.

Stud poker is a poker game of the type in which each player receives a mix of face-down and face-up cards dealt in multiple betting rounds. The player betting first on each round can change from round to round. That's why it is also known as a non-positional game. The cards dealt face down to each individual player are called hole cards.

Texas hold 'em, also called hold'em or holdem is a community card game. Each player may use any combination of the five community cards and his or her own two hole cards to make a poker hand.
